National Poetry Month

April Is Here

So this means it's National Poetry Month. I just learned about this today so I'm a little behind the 8-ball. Apparently, there's a "Write one poem a day" challenge that goes along with this. Since this won't go up until the 4th here's 4 poems for your enjoyment. Feel free to post your own poems in the comments.

Bunny

Easter Bunny standing there looking surprised

To be next to someone so out of touch

With Easter as well as other things

Were the children surprised too

To have their fun day derailed

With talk of budgets and stocks

School Life Balance

Hectic schedule, rushing around

Completing tests, study, meeting, class

Dishes, laundry, floors

When is the time for me

Then the time comes

Wasted on notifications

Snowflake

Separated from the others

Crystalline form

Spinning swirling

Buffeted by wind

Lazily falling

Piling up but not yet together

Rejoining the others in Spring

Wishing Well

Coins in the water

Wishes or grave goods

Do the dead grant wishes

Or need the coins for the afterlife
